Сегодня вечером в киевской галерее Brucie Collections состоялось открытие выставки О пейзажах и любви американского fashion-фотографа Майкла МакКафри. Мероприятие проходило в закрытом формате - для широкой публики экспозиция будет доступна с 13 сентября по 11 ноября 2012 года.
Today at night Kiev Brucie Collections gallery presented to the Ukrainian audience the exhibition of American photographer Michael McCafrey - Of landscapes and love. Working at home in the USA and abroad, McCafrey has become well established in the fine art arena – his works appear in magazines such as Joyce, Annabelle, Max, Bolero and Per Lei. As a commercial photographer he collaborated with well-known department stores chains Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales along with major advertising agencies in the USA, Europe and South America.
Работы МакКафри появляются на страницах таких глянцевых журналов, как Joyce, Annabelle, Max, Bolero и Per Lei. Как фотограф он сотрудничал с торговыми сетями Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue и Bloomingdales, а также с крупными рекламными агентствами в США, Европе и Южной Америке. В киевскую экспозицию О пейзажах и любви вошли женские портреты, работы в жанре ню, пейзажи и абстракции, которые объединяет не только тематическое наполнение, но и техника съемок с помощью классического пленочного фотоаппарата.
Это второй приезд МакКафри в украинскую столицу - 4 года назад его работы были представлены в рамках одной из первых выставок в галерее Brucie Collections. Более того, во время своего первого визита в Украину фотограф успел реализовать несколько проектов: отснял образы коллекции весна-лето 2009 POUSTOVIT, имиджи для рекламной кампании Helen Marlen, а также фэшн-стори для L’Officiel.
Of landscapes and love contains feminine portraits, nude figurative, landscapes and abstracts. Beside thematic content the presented works also share the technique of shooting with a classical film camera.
Kiev connoisseurs of contemporary art photography has already had the opportunity to get acquainted with Michael McCafrey’s work and with the author himself 4 years ago – his work has been presented at one of the first exhibitions in Brucie Collections. During his first visit in Ukraine McCafrey also implemented several projects: he photographed the images of well-known Ukrainian brand POUSTOVIT spring-summer 2009 collection, the images for Kiev Helen Marlen advertising campaign, as well as the fashion story for L’Officiel Ukraine.
